Celebrate your children's yearly milestone with this fabulous First Day Board. This is a lovely way to document their growth from daycare or kindergarten right through their school years. These boards are completely handmade by us, using New Zealand made wood.
These boards are 30x20cm (A4 paper) in size, and are actually blackboards, so can be wiped clean and used year after year. We use metallic silver or white paint for the lettering, which gives great longevity. The reverse side is blank blackboard, so can be used for your child to draw a picture or write their name - another great way to show how your child changes and grows year after year.
Basic Board: this is the base model - it is not personalised, so you can use it for multiple children just by writing their name with chalk
Personalised Board: this comes with one (or two in the case of twins!) name(s) permanently on the top of the board.
Magnetic Board: this comes with a magnetic strip where the name section is. Use this with your own magnets, or purchase personalised ones from us so you can use this for multiple children.

First Day Board
- We do not recommend using liquid chalk on our boards.
- Dipping your chalk in water before writing creates sharper, clearer writing.
- Made a small mistake? Use a cotton bud and dampen it slightly to erase any mistakes.
- To clean the board, use a cotton cloth - damp or dry. Damp gives a cleaner board.
